As an upstart NGO working across three continents, we need all the help we can get. But help means more than money. In fact, when we think of donations, we believe there are at least three ways to give

Donate Network – Everybody knows somebody and most of the people you know have never heard of obstetric fistula or OperaitonOF. Since we have no marketing budget, we have to rely on the passion and enthusiasm of volunteers to spread the word. We have a proven method of building awareness and it’s pretty painless. Just talking (or writing) saves lives.  Ask us how.

Donate Skill – As a mostly volunteer effort, we have five functional teams focused on various facets of our emerging NGO. We need all kinds of professional assistance. Whether you are an accountant, doctor, stay at home mom or fire fighter, there is definitely a way for you to donate your skill. Email us if you are interested and we will see where you fit.

Donate Money – Yes, cliché I know, but to make this thing work, we do need some cash. The great thing here is that your money goes directly to the cause. We won’t waste a dime on hiring directors – its all going to programs. We are working hard to drive down costs, but just to give you an idea of how we can spend some of your money, here are a couple averages:

  • Average Transport Cost (Roundtrip from the village to the hospital) - $40
  • Average Cost of Hospital Stay (Food & Bed charges) - $105
  • Transport + Hospital Stay - $145
  • Transport + Hospital Stay + Surgery - $315

Yes, we are a 501(c)3 and cash donations are tax deductible in the USA.  If you need our official numbers and address, just email Seth and he will get you whatever you need.  

There are several ways to put your money to work and we are really focused on making this as easy as possible for you, so if we have missed a payment method or have not addressed all of your needs in an exemplary manner, please speak up.   

Give Online - We are definitely still working on this, but right now Google Checkout is easy to set up and FREE (that means no 5% fee!!).

Give by Mail - If you don’t use credit cards or would prefer to give paper money, you can shoot us a check or money order.  Have a look at this form for instructions on how and where to send your paper money.
Tribute Gifts - If you want to donate on behalf of someone or to give the gift of life renewed to a love one, we are very happy to help.  Because we are small, we have lots of flexibility on how we can make your donation a gift to remember.  If you have given online and want to designate your gift as a tribute, email us.  If you paid with paper money, there is a tribute section on the form.  
Matching Gifts - Many employers match donations to charitable organizations for their employees, retirees and family members. Employer matching gifts can double or even triple your donation to OperationOF. That’s right, you can double your gift by just a little extra work (usually just filling out a form and mailing it to us). If you know your company matches, please send your completed forms to
